Michael J. Wade, PhD, WRI's Principal Scientist, belongs to the following professional societies:
American Chemical Society (ACS) which he first joined as an undergraduate
student at Grinnell College in the 1960s. Dr. Wade has served in several
volunteer positions for the ACS, and serves as technical reviewer for ACS
professional publications. Dr. Wade also belongs to the local section
of the ACS, Northeast Section, Boston, Massachusetts.
American Society of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO) which he first joined
as a graduate student at the University of Rhode Island in the 1970s.
Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) which he first
joined in 1995. Dr. Wade serves as a technical reviewer for peer-reviewed technical
publications for the SETAC journal. Dr. Wade also belongs to the local
chapter of SETAC, the North Atlantic Chapter, Boston, Massachusetts.
Association for Environmental Health and Sciences (AEHS) which he first
joined in 2001.
International Society of Environmental Forensics (ISEF) which he first
joined in 2003.
Dr. Wade is registered in the American Society of Testing and Materials
(ASTM) Directory of Scientific & Technical Consultants & Expert Witnesses
